Since our fathers and grandfathers founded the first Lights Jewelers in 1961, our family has been an active community partner with hundreds of worthwhile causes, contributing our time and financial resources to schools, patriotic events, hands-on natural disaster relief projects, and not-for-profit donation requests.
By partnering with community-based organizations, our family seeks to make the greatest impact on the lives of people who call the Pine Belt home. Therefore, our highest priority is to partner with organizations and projects that have a direct positive benefit to Pine Belt residents.
To maximize the positive effects of our charitable contributions, Lights Jewelers & Gemologists gives priority to organizations and causes that complement our “C.A.R.A.T.S.” principles, which epitomize our family’s priorities. C.A.R.A.T.S refers to the following categories:
Religiously inspired Projects
American (Patriotic) Events
Targeted LOCAL Causes
Special Projects and Needs
When seeking to partner with Lights Jewelers & Gemologists, please be sure to include a copy of your federal 501c-3 designation letter in your request packet. Please make an appointment to see us and allow about 30 minutes to discuss your goals and objectives, as well as the potential benefits (complimentary tickets, media exposure, etc…) of participating in your event.
When making our decisions to support local charities, we need adequate planning and preparation time. When planning your sponsorship request, please remember that Lights Jewelers philanthropy budget is usually set by October for the coming year. This means that priority attention will be given to not-for-profits who submit their proposals as early as possible. Preference will be given to requests that arrive at least 60 days prior to the event.
